This quilt with a flannelette backing was made for the same granddaughter as the toss cushion in my previous post. Love how this turned out. Finished dimensions 50" x 70".

This quilt was made almost entirely from half square triangles. Borders were added to complete the look.
A wedding gift for a nephew and his new bride.

Baby Boy Quilt
I started with 96 squares of little boy fabric each 3 1/2" x 3 1/2 ".
Once I was content with the layout, I added strips of 1 1/2" wide white sashing to one side of each square, to the right of each square in the odd numbered rows, to the left of each square in the even numbered rows.
The next step was to sew all the squares together on each row, then to sew the rows together. To finish the topper I added strip of 2 1/2" white sashing at the top and bottom.
Using a flannelette backing, then quilting and binding, the finished quilt was ready for a new baby boy in our family.
